Nick Shaw, Co-Founder

As Co-founder of Mirrorbox Leadership Lab™, Nick brings 20+ years as a consultant, executive coach and leadership development facilitator bringing about meaningful change for clients in a range of industries from hyper-growth startups to well established Fortune 500 organizations.

Nick works with senior level leaders and executive teams to help them bring about meaningful change, for which three key elements are necessary – a vision/aspiration for what that change will look like, self-awareness for where you are today, and a real commitment to take the steps necessary in order to enact the change. 

Nick focuses on helping:

  • Leaders with their interpersonal communication skills (active listening, asserting a point-of-view, influencing, conflict management/challenging conversations)

  • Build team effectiveness and team dynamics

  • Imposter syndrome and introverted leaders. 

  • Strategic thinking & visionary leadership. 

  • Building self-awareness and managing self-talk

 

Nick's qualifications include:

  • MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California

  • BSBA in Business Administration from Georgetown University

  • Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, Coaches Training Institute

  • MBTI Certified

  • Leadership Circle Profile Certified

 

Nick works with national and global organizations with clients often describing him as approachable, practical, thought provoking, caring and results oriented.

 

Nick is the author of My Teacher, My Son: Lessons on Life, Loss, and Love. In his book, Nick shares important lessons he learned from the tragic loss of his nine year old son, William. Many of the lessons highlighted in the book can be directly applied to leadership.
